MAJOR ENDORSEMENT ALERT
California’s Largest Public Safety Organization Endorses Dom Belza For Assembly
Marysville, CA -- California’s largest public safety organization endorsed Dom Belza for Assembly today. The Peace Officers' Research Organization of California also known as PORAC represents more than 82,000 public safety officers from 950 associations including the local Chico Police Officers' Association which previously endorsed Belza.
“Dom Belza has a strong track record of putting public safety first and is exactly the kind of leader we need in Sacramento,” said Brian R. Marvel, President of the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC). “He has shown a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing law enforcement and has proven time and again that he is dedicated to implementing meaningful reforms to make California’s communities safer. All of these reasons make him the clear choice to lead Assembly District 3, which is why PORAC is proud to endorse his candidacy.”
Recently Dom Belza worked to pass the law enforcement backed Prop 36 initiative of 2024 which was the first major public safety reform in years. Dom served as an honorary co-chair of the measure.
“I’m humbled to have the endorsement and support of PORAC and CPOA. I’ve always backed the Blue, especially when it mattered with Prop 36,” said Belza in response to the announcement. “We must continue to support our officers and give them the tools and resources to keep our communities safe! I’ve stood with law enforcement in the past and will fight for them in future!”
