Radio Talk Show Host and retired Sheriff John McGinness endorses Dom Belza for Assembly

SACRAMENTO, CA - - Today, Assembly candidate Dom Belza (R-AD3) announced receiving the endorsement of KFBK Radio Talk Show Host and retired Sacramento County Sheriff John McGinness.

“It is my profound honor and pleasure to endorse Dominic “Dom” Belza for the California Assembly," said McGinness. “In 2024 I had the honor of working closely with public officials and office holders throughout California to support Proposition 36, to restore efficacy in the state’s criminal justice system. Among the people with whom I worked closely was Marysville City Council member Dom Belza. Dom’s common-sense approach to public policy was refreshing and his commitment and energy relentless.”

Dom Belza is the leading candidate in AD 3, having already received endorsements from incumbent 3rd District Assemblyman James Gallagher and a host of other major Republican policymakers and law enforcement officials.

“I am pleased to join Assemblyman James Gallagher, Congressman Kevin Kiley, and Senator Jim Nielsen (ret) as well as local elected officials, including sheriffs and district attorneys, in endorsing Dom Belza to continue the extraordinary work done by James Gallagher in the Assembly,” stated McGinness.

Dom Belza is an agricultural business owner, from a generational farming family, and, most recently, a Marysville City Councilman. For the past 19 years, he has worked as a local realtor and businessman, investing in and selling agricultural and commercial properties. Dom has been married to his wife, Julia, for 11 years, and together they have four children.

The 3rd Assembly District encompasses all or portions of six counties: Butte, Sutter, Yuba, Tehama, Glenn, and Placer.
