Dom Belza Earns California Correctional Peace Officers Association Endorsement
Marysville, Calif. – Republican Assembly candidate Dom Belza (R-03) has received the endorsement of the 31,000 member California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA).
"In Dom Belza we have a candidate who is a fierce advocate for correctional peace officers and someone who understands the importance of public safety and the challenges that need to be met to create safer communities throughout California. We have the utmost confidence that Mr. Belza will be a thoughtful leader and champion who will pursue accountability for offenders, justice for victims of crime, and provide support for the men and women who wear the badge," said Neil Flood, CCPOA President.
The CCPOA is one of the leading public safety groups in California. They join a large law enforcement coalition that have already endorsed Belza, including: PORAC, California Association of Highway Patrolman, California Coalition of Law Enforcement Association to name a few. A full list of endorsements can be found at DomBelza.com.
"I am honored to be known as Law Enforcement's Choice and to have the backing of CCPOA," said Belza. "California's correction system is the best in the business in keeping the community safe from very dangerous criminals. The men and women who serve should be recognized for their risky jobs. Now is the time to back our law enforcement and enact stricter sentencing for violent offenders and that is what I intend to do once I am in the Assembly."
