Chico, Calif. -- Republican Dom Belza announced today that he has earned the endorsement of Cal Fire Local 2881, the union representing the professional firefighters of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).

Cal Fire Local 2881 represents more than 10,000 firefighters and emergency response personnel who protect millions of Californians each year. From wildfire suppression and prevention to emergency medical services and disaster response, Local 2881 members serve on the front lines of public safety across the state.

President Tim Edwards of Cal Fire Local 2881 emphasized the importance of strong leadership in Sacramento, “The men and women of Cal Fire safeguard and serve communities statewide. The people of the North State in particular, understand the importance of preventive fire maintenance and the need to fully fund our fire programs. Having Dom Belza in State Assembly matters.
