Endorsement Momentum Continues
Paradise Mayor and Vice Mayor Endorse Belza
Paradise, Calif. – Today, Republican Dom Belza formally announced endorsements from the Mayor and Vice Mayor of the Town of Paradise. Belza is running in the 3rd Assembly District, which is currently represented by Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher. Gallagher is prevented from running for re-election and has endorsed Belza.
Mayor Steve Crowder and Vice Mayor Steve ‘Woody’ Culleton have been steady advocates for the Town of Paradise since before and after the 2018 Camp Fire. They have worked closely with Gallagher over the years to deliver results for the Town of Paradise and understand the importance of retaining effective representation in Sacramento.
Paradise Mayor Steve Crowder, who has issued a dual endorsement in the race, expressed his trust of Belza saying, “Assemblyman Gallagher is a friend and relentless advocate for the Town of Paradise. He knows better than anyone what it takes to navigate the politics in Sacramento and get results. His endorsement of Dom Belza is especially significant for us on the ridge. Paradise needs a champion at the State Capitol, and I trust that Dom will continue to deliver for us.”
Paradise Vice Mayor Steve ‘Woody’ Culleton, who had previously endorsed another candidate in the race before becoming aware of Gallagher’s endorsement, has solidified his support for Belza. “Assemblyman Gallagher understands the complexities of Sacramento's political landscape and knows how to get things done. His endorsement of Dom Belza carries great weight for us here on the ridge. Paradise deserves a true champion in the State Capitol, and I have full confidence that Dom will continue to fight for our community."
Belza now enjoys support from a majority of the mayors in Butte County, which is the most populated county in the 3rd Assembly District. His red-hot start to the campaign continues to impress. Belza has a growing list of supporters from around the 3rd Assembly District and has already announced raising more than $100,000. Belza has built near-unanimous support from the Yuba-Sutter portion of the district and has secured high-profile endorsements from former State Senator Jim Nielsen, Chico Mayor Kasey Reynolds, and a majority of the Oroville City Council.
